Leather Work Gloves: Care Basics

After a wet shift, let leather gloves dry at room temperature, away from heaters and direct sun. Forced heat cracks the leather and shortens its life far more than the work itself does.

Brush off dust and mud when dry, and keep gloves away from oil and solvents unless the model is made for that work. Oil-soaked leather goes soft and loses its grip and shape.

Check palms and seams before each shift. A small seam repair early is cheaper than a blowout mid-job, and a glove with a worn palm should be replaced — worn leather protects less than it looks like it does.
